Menus… From Europe to our plate!

During the Month of Europe organized in our high school, we’ve discovered some specialties of the countries that the students have visited. For instance, on the 17th Tuesday of May, we ate in starter, a German salad, then, in main course, beef moussaka from Greece and an Italian dessert, a tiramisu.

Different meals in Europe

In Spain, they get 5 lunch times! Breakfast (el desayuno) is served at 8.00 a.m. When it’s almost 11.00 a.m.,  Spanish have a break time (el almuerzo). Lunch (la comida) is between 2.00 and 4.00 p.m. Some of the most gluttony take a snack (la merienda) at 6.00 p.m. and the dinner (la cena) is eaten after 9.00 p.m.

In the UK, the first meal is at 6.30 a.m. then lunch at midday. They’ve got tea time at 5.00 p.m. and they have dinner at 6.00 p.m.

In Germany, they have 4 meals.

UK Breakfest Lunch Tea Time Final Lunch
Germany Frühstück Zwischenmahlzeit Mittagessen Abendbro
Spain Desayuno Almuerzo Comida Merienda Cena

Opening on Europe also is  a discovery of new cultures throughout customs and traditions and that’s what we’ve done by eating traditional dishes.
