The adventure began on December 2016 while we suscribed to the European project offered by Mr TARNAUD. We decided to join this project due to the fact that we wanted to meet new foreign pupils and share an experience with them. At this moment we didn’t imagine how this program will change us… While Mrs MOTTEY’s e-twinning project is virtual partnership with European classes, Erasmus+ is the same idea but with real exchanges and meetings.
Thus in March 2017, we met our European partners for the first time. They were Lithuanians, Italians and Czechs. In fact each French pupil has hosted a correspondant for a week. So we introduced our High School and visited Auxonne with a treasure hunt in town and walk up to the church tower.
During this enriching week, we have visited other big cities like Beaune and Dijon and discovered some museums : the best one was the Mustard Factory where we have tasted lots of kinds of mustards ! But of course this project wasn’t just about French culture ! The PEDAGOGEEKS project was about sciences and technology. So we made biology and chemistry experimentations. Next we had to make videos about that on a computer. On the Friday evening, our last evening altogether, the teachers have organized a farewell party with a buffet. We danced a lot ! It was great…but so hard to say goodbye !
This week was an incredible experience. Meeting teenagers from other countries was really rewarding. It is the best way to learn English, as it is much better to communicate than an English class ! This type of project also gives us the opportunity to travel and to make friends from abroad, even if this project was just in Europe, it opened up our minds to the rest fo the world ! This experience has opened our minds since we have learnt how to work together. We will never forget it!
It was just amazing ! See you next year on the Euro blog for our article after our trip to Lithuania !
